Predicting 9/11

Richard Clarke, a former government official, predicted the 9/11 attack but was not taken seriously. He asked to be relieved from his position due to the lack of attention given to the issue. Despite this, he continued to work on creating a cybersecurity program and national strategy. Clarke ultimately quit after realizing the Bush administration's intention to invade Iraq.
