Roger Atwood, a former Reuters correspondent, talks about his experience covering the Shining Path insurgency in Peru during the late '80s and early '90s. He discusses the Maoist guerilla group's attempts to overthrow the government and their strategy of circling the city of Lima by gaining control over shanty towns.
