Institutional Cover-Up

Rachael Denhollander details the institutional cover-up of Larry Nassar's abuse at Michigan State University, including how coaches silenced and intimidated survivors who spoke out against him. The first known report came in 1997 from a young woman named Larissa Boyce, but the head gymnastics coach at Michigan State University, Kathie Klages, not only shamed her in front of the gymnastics team but also turned to Larissa and another 14-year-old who also disclosed and corroborated Larissa's account and said, "I could file a report, but there will be consequences for you and for Larry if I do."
